We met Melissa when she was a bridesmaid at Danielle and Doug's wedding in 2008. In fact, Danielle was part of Melissa's entourage. Actually we knew several members of the entourage and that is always so much fun for Jeff and I. It makes us feel like part of the family when we know so many people at the wedding.

Melissa and Chris got married in Melissa’s aunt’s beautiful backyard on August 6, 2011 on a gorgeous summer day in Edmonds. This was a very relaxed and fun wedding. The bride and her friends and family took care of all of the ceremony and reception details from the flowers to the food to the wonderful decorations. Her grandfather even officiated the ceremony. That allowed us to run around downtown Edmonds with the wedding party. You can’t have a wedding in Edmonds and not get a shot with the ferry!

Melissa and Chris really weren’t worried about whether they were having the “perfect” wedding; they were focused on the fact that they were marrying their soul mates. But having been there, it definitely was a perfect wedding. Sometimes if you don’t put all that pressure on yourself, it really does work out amazingly wonderful. Their reception was also in her aunt’s backyard with toasts and dessert. It was a great way for everyone to just hang out and talk and catch up with each other.

When it was time for sunset, we went with the bride and groom to the waterfront in Edmonds for some awesome sunset shots on the beach. Melissa and Chris also wanted to party more, so there was an after party at one of their favorite bars in Edmonds where they danced the night away.

We had a great time with them, their friends and family and love how casual, fun and beautiful their day was.

I hope you enjoyed sharing in some of our favorite moments from their wedding day.

Love,

Jenny+Jeff
