Jessica and Jay were married at Hidden Meadows in Snohomish, WA on September 3, 2011.
We had tons of fun with them as Jessica and Jay and their crew were a blast to be with. Jay took his guys golfing and to breakfast the morning of their wedding. Jessica and her girls had a slumber party at the Willows Lodge and all got together. While they were doing hair, we learned a lesson; having 4 hair dryers on at the same time will blow the power to the room. And it isn’t easy to find an alternate power source in a hotel lobby, but they got the power to the room on very quickly for us.
Jessica and Jay wanted to spend the day together, so we had their first look in the lobby of Willows Lodge with Jessica coming down the stairs to meet Jay. Since we were at Willows Lodge, we utilized the beautiful grounds at the hotel for most of their photo shoot with and without their wedding party. There is an awesome willow tree on the property that provided some of the only shade we found on their very warm and gorgeous wedding day.
When it was time to head to Hidden Meadows, everyone boarded a party bus to the venue to get prepped for the ceremony. They had a traditional Filipino ceremony. One of the great things about a Filipino ceremony is how so much of your family is included and by naming the couples that you look up to as your sponsors really pays respect to them and their own marriages. Jessica and Jay had a lot of sponsors and a lot of inspiration for their own marriage!
After the ceremony, we took the lovely newlyweds out for a sunset photo shoot. Being at Hidden Meadows gave us the opportunity to use lots of the beautiful country fields with that rustic sun glow feel. Lots of romance and warmth for this beautiful couple. They had a lovely reception under the stars with lots of dancing and great family moments, but that wasn’t enough for their crew. We joined them back at the hotel for a mini hotel shoot and the after party that was quite wild and really fun!
Please enjoy checking out some of our favorite moments from their wedding day.
