Elana and Alex were married on July 3, 2011 at the beautiful Inglewood Golf Club. They had a wonderful and traditional Jewish ceremony on the golf course. They also had their reception at the golf club.
Elana and Alex live in Arizona where they met, but wanted to get married where Elana grew up which is the Kirkland area of Washington. It was fun for the groom and his wedding party as they are all from other parts of the country, so Alex took all of his guys on a fun Argosy Cruise so they could experience Lake Washington and the surrounding area on the morning of the wedding, of course while the girls spent the morning getting ready. :-)
Once we were all ready, we had lots of fun photographing Elana, Alex and their fun wedding party all over the gorgeous grounds of Inglewood. Inglewood has a beautiful water feature and great architecture to use as backdrops. When it came time for the ceremony, we were privileged to photograph their Ketubah signing, which was a very emotional moment during their day. The ceremony was also very special as members of their family that are Rabbis performed the ceremony. It always makes for a much more personal event when family performs the ceremony. We then moved into party mode and they got the party started right with a live band and opening the reception by going right into the Hora! And of course, there was the University of Arizona Wildcats flag proudly present during the dancing....Go Wildcats :-). When the evening was over, Alex and Elana walked to their British Motor coach through a path of sparklers held by their family and friends.
We were honored to be a part of their wedding and loved that we captured so many amazing moments. This is just a small sample of our favorite parts of their day.
Their wedding had some beautiful and very classy details. Love that they brought a little of the 4th of July into their color scheme. Some might also say that it was also bringing in their college colors. ;-)
We really love being a part of the morning and getting to know everyone. They were a fun group to hang out with. Love that dress shot in the window.
Such a gorgeous couple. We had a great time creating some romantic as well as fun moments. One of our favs is the image in that red staircase. What an amazing place to have a wedding!
They were such a great group. It was awesome getting to know them all during the day.
It was such a beautiful ceremony. I love how their parents were such an integral part of the ceremony.
Yup, that's their college flag they are holding during the Hora. Totally awesome!
We hope you enjoyed seeing part of Elana and Alex's wedding, please let us know what you think.
