Adrienne and Chris were married on April 13, 2013 at the Skansonia in Seattle, WA.
They had the most interesting weather day I think we have ever had for a wedding. We had all four seasons during the day, but then that is just a typical spring day in Seattle. :-) It did make for some amazingly dramatic skies during the day.
We started the wedding day over at Adrienne's salon where she and all of her girls got their hair done, then we headed over the the Pan Pacific Hotel to do make-up and of course put on her gorgeous dress. And the boys went to breakfast before meeting up with us at the hotel for First Look. Since it started raining, we took advantage of the beautiful interiors at the Pan Pacific Hotel before heading off for drinks at Joey's with Adrienne, Chris and their entourage. While we were waiting for food, we were able to go outside (break in the weather) and get some beautiful shots with Lake Union as our backdrop with some crazy stormy looking clouds.
We actually provided transportation for the bride and groom driving them around town and the drive to the Skansonia was interesting once it started hailing. But we got there and were able to take beautiful family images with the city as the backdrop. The Skansonia is great because they have so many wonderful covered areas but still providing their awesome view of the city and we took full advantage of that fact!
When it got to be time for the ceremony there was a slight glitch with the power going out...but it turned out fine because they had a beautiful candlelit ceremony. And the power came back on in time for the reception (which was good since they had a band and Foto-Robot!). The reception was so much fun and we took advantage one more time with the amazing skies we had for some late night photography with Adrienne and Chris and Seattle as their backdrop.
Despite a few glitches, their day was beautiful and filled with love and friends and family and we are honored to have captured their story. Please enjoy checking out some of our favorite moments from their wedding day.
