The Experience

the experience
First and foremost we are about having fun and making sure that you are having fun too. Isn’t that what a wedding is all about…fun and excitement?

We want this to be a very unique experience from the moment we first get together to chat about your wedding to capturing the amazing moments of your wedding day to designing and creating your one of a kind storybook album.

We will be with you for your entire wedding day, whatever that means for you. If that means that your hair appointment is at 8am or the guys’ golf tee time is at 6:15am, we will be there. And if you have “Martin’s Midnight Karaoke” starting at midnight, we wouldn’t miss it for the world! Our goal is to tell your complete wedding day story, so why limit your time?

Here is a little sampling of how a typical wedding day goes for us…Jenny shows up to meet the bride and bridesmaids wherever hair and make-up is being done. She is capturing those moments and getting to know the bridesmaids. Meanwhile in guy land, Jeff is meeting up with the guys to do whatever they want to do to pass the time until it is time to get dressed since that only takes a few minutes for a guy. Jeff has been rock climbing, bowling, go carting, fishing, golfing, to get a shave, have breakfast, play Xbox, watch TV, the activities are endless. And of course he is capturing all of the mayhem with the guys and getting to know them at the same time.

Once everyone is dressed, we will have a “First Look”. It is a very special moment that we orchestrate for the bride and groom to give them a private moment to see each other and spend some time together. Then the fun gets underway. Lately, we’ve been climbing aboard a party bus (a fantastic way to get around town) and going all around town taking all kinds of images in lots of fun places. A few recent locales have been Alki, The Gum Wall in Post Alley, Kerry Park, Pioneer Square, Gasworks Park, and Qwest Field.

After we get to the ceremony location, we typically will shoot the family pictures, which we feel is an important part of the day and moms really look forward to this. Then we get married and we are capturing this from 3 unique perspectives. Then depending on the timing and location, we may take some more bride and groom images before the reception.

And of course the reception is all about the party! And remember, we will be there until the last dance of the night and when you leave with a line of sparklers so it will all be captured for your storybook album. And several of our couples have had us follow them back to the honeymoon suite to get them going over the threshold, so we truly get the entire day!

During your wedding day, we will be incorporating a lot of styles of photography, because you can’t tell a complete story from just one point of view or with just one style. We need to be photojournalists to capture the candid moments, fashion photographers to create the magazine look every bride wants, food and product photographers to capture all of the amazing details you’ve created to make your wedding all yours, directive photographers to get some super fun movie inspired images, classic portrait photographers to get those nice family images, and we also bring our background in doing nature photography to every wedding so that we can capture the environment as well.
